Field Notes: Saut Hermès!
Back at the Grand Palais after three years of renovations.
Grand prix show jumping took over Paris this last weekend, where a crowd a of both equestrians and new spectators descended on the Grand Palais (newly re-opened in all its glory). Our friend Milène Laforge shared with us a wealth of images from both outside and inside the show, where in typical Hermès fashion everything from the signage and visuals (illustrated by Mircea Cantor) to the stage design was a master class in surprise and delight.

As always in thanks to Instagram, with its ever-wonderous ability to make the world much smaller, we spied Diane Batoukina in her very first Saut Hermès! We met Diane last summer at Tenuta di San Guisto (where we talk about here) in Tuscany and bonded over a love of horses. She said it beautifully of the experience—
It really tickles my fancy to know event such as this, held in such a beautiful venue, still exist in the world. It feels so far away from anything you experience in Australia. Thank you for sharing! 🤍
